ANI moved to Delhi High Court filed a defamation suit against youtuber Mohak Mangal over extortion video.
The suit also includes the name of Comedian Kunal Kamra and Mohd Zubair (AltNews Co-Founder) for sharing the video on their X(formally twitter) handle.

ANI (Asian News International) moves Delhi High Court for a defamation case against YouTuber Mohak Mangal alleging that recent YouTube video titled “Dear ANI” was against the news agency is disparaging and defamatory.
As per the suit the YouTube Mangal’s YouTube video that ANI is seeking to enforce its copyright over its published content is holding people hostages and committing extortion and blackmail.
ANI has further claimed that the YouTuber has called all the members of the public to unsubscribe to all services offered by ANI.
ANI also adds that Kamra, Zubair and other unknowns(John Does) had widely shared the video and as they do so they independently spread the falls, baseless and malicious statement targeting ANI and its founders.
ANI prayed in his plaint for takedown of the video titled "Dear ANI" posted by Mangal and also restrain him from using the ANI registered trademarks in any manner.
They further seeks to restrain Mangal for making or publishing or circulating any false, misleading, defamatory content against ANI.
